What's New for GA's and Lenders?
This session will first highlight the new rules on prohibited inducements and move to a panel discussion of GA’s and Lenders who will talk about the work that is allowed within these rules.
Electronic Services for the Future
This session will highlight the new systems under construction and the ideas within Federal Student Aid for National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) FFEL Data Flows, Debt Management and Collections System (DMCS) and Conditional Discharge and Tracking System (CDDTS) for Total and Permanent Disability.
Financial Partners Systems Hands-On
This session will give you a high level overview of the Financial Partners Portal, the Financial Partners Data Mart, and NSLDS, highlighting the information the lenders can access in each.
Overview of the FFEL Program for lenders and guarantors: How does it work, what do I do, and when do I do it?
This session will provide a high-level overview of the student aid cycle and how lenders and guaranty agencies fit into the process. Included will be information on how a student applies for Title IV aid, the types of aid available, how the school packages the aid and how the loan eligibility is determined at the school level before it gets to the lender the student or parent has chosen. We will also cover the relationships that exist between the schools, lenders, guaranty agencies and the Department of Education in the administration of the FFEL Program.
Lender ID Assignment Rules and Process
This session will be a detailed discussion on the new rules for lender ID assignment; who is a lender, what are the responsibilities of the lender and the new process for receiving a lender ID.
Operational Reporting for GA's and Lenders under the Ensuring Continued Access to Student Loan Act of 2008
This session will provide information of the operational processes for GA's and Lenders for ECASLA. It will provide an overview of the data collected, stored, and reconciled amongst FSA systems.
Current Electronic Services Offered by Federal Student Aid for GA's and Lenders
This session will be an overview of the Portal, Financial Management System (FMS), Financial Partners Data Mart, National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), Debt Management and Collections System (DMCS) and Conditional Discharge and Tracking System (CDDTS) electronic processes that are available to Guaranty Agencies and Lenders.
