Who You Will Meet

At the Federal Student Aid Conferences, you will have an opportunity to meet colleagues from around the nation. Through our Birds of a Feather sessions, we provide you with a chance to meet other financial aid professionals from like schools. On the first day of the conference, Federal Student Aid will host a series of these sessions for 4-year public schools, 4-year private schools, 2-year colleges, career colleges, and IT staff. These sessions will give you an opportunity to begin networking right away and develop questions that you would like to ask throughout the course of the conference.

You will also meet Department officials and experts responsible for interpreting the Title IV legislation, writing the student aid regulations, and operations personnel responsible for developing and operating the systems that carry out the work of the student aid programs. During breakout sessions, you will have a chance to ask your questions directly to the experts and get immediate answers.

In our PC Lab, we will have booths from all of our major systems, manned by experts who can access these systems directly, answer your technical questions, and show you how to use the system yourself. We will also have a booth from our publications office, where you can order the latest publications for your financial aid office.

Please visit our Current Conferences section for more information on upcoming conferences and information on our guest speakers.
