Conferences For Financial Aid Professionals

Who We Are

The FSA Conferences staff has 4 full-time personnel who help to plan the annual conferences, but it takes a whole host of other people to bring you the latest information about the Federal Student Aid programs. We partner with experts all over the U.S. Department of Education including the Office of Postsecondary Education, the Office of the Under Secretary, and Federal Student Aid personnel in multiple program and technology areas. We also partner with postsecondary schools and financial institutions to deliver information to you about the programs and services that help students finance their education beyond high school. We also contract with professional production and event planning companies to support us with technology, inventory management, and a whole host of other services to bring you a professional conference with the information you need.

The FSA Conference Red Shirt staff, who assist with registration, room monitoring, providing directions and answering questions, are all volunteers from various offices within Federal Student Aid who take time away from their jobs and their families to help us put on our Fall conferences each year. In 2007, the Red Shirts took an extra day out of their weekend before the New Orleans conference, to volunteer time at a local school that needed renovation after the 2005 floods.
