First Time SAIG Users
This session will provide basic instructions to all new SAIG users (Schools, Lenders, Guaranty Agencies and Servicers) on how to enroll for SAIG and the many tools that are available to users. It will include SAIG Mailbox instructions on downloading files and explain the use of message classes and naming convention of files. It will also cover the tools available within the software. These tools can be used for oversight, monitoring, retrieving archived files, and more.
XML: Tools and Trends
Have you hit the wall with your XML Schema (XSD) development? Schematron is a rule-based XML Schema language, which uses Xpath expressions to describe validation rules. This allows many kinds of structures to be represented which are inconvenient and difficult to describe in XML Schemas (XSD). Schematron can be used in conjunction with XML Schemas to allow more complete validation of your XML documents. Attend this session to learn more about XML tools and trends.

Integrated Postsecondary Education Database (IPEDS)
A representative from the Department of Education National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) will provide an update on the data collection system of the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). This session will review upcoming changes, report on current projects, and discuss planned improvements and enhancements. Staff will demonstrate how IPEDS data can be easily accessed and used in addressing key needs for information, through the IPEDS web-based data use book.
