Financial Partners Journey Through NSLDS
This session is a Financial Partner's through the processes that impact the data maintained in NSLDS. This session will provide various NSLDS user perspectives and the importance of data integrity and timeliness to the effectiveness of using NSLDS data. Topics covered will relate to timely repayment conversion, importance of student enrollment data, impact of consolidation, resolution of data conflicts, cohort default rates, system security and working error reports.
Voluntary Flexible Agreements: An Experiment with Results
This session will explore the results of various experimental delinquency and default prevention programs implemented by Guaranty Agencies who have Voluntary Flexible Agreements with the Department of Education. The session will focus on various programs implemented throughout the student loan life cycle that can assist schools, lenders, servicers, and guaranty agencies in their combined efforts to assist students in avoiding delinquency and default.
FFEL Regulatory and Policy Update
A policy update geared toward guaranty agencies and lenders. This session will provide an overview of the statutory changes and implementing regulations and related policy guidance resulting from HERA of 2005 and the Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2006, and an update on the Reauthorization of the Higher Education Act.

This session will be based on lessons learned from previous lender and guaranty agency reviews performed during the last two years by Financial Partner Eligibility and Oversight. Included will be an overview of the review process, the importance of pre-review preparation, as well as a discussion of common findings.

In this session presenters will provide an overview of PEPS and the information contained in it and how to query for data. The session also includes foreign school information contained in PEPS as it relates to guaranty agencies and lenders. For Financial Partner Data Mart, the session provides overall information on its structure, where the data comes from, the lender, servicer and guaranty agency scorecards, and available reports.
LaRS Review Session
This session will discuss LaRS quarterly billing reports from the program review perspective. It will provide an overview of the review process and explain how the reviewer verifies the accuracy of data reported on LaRS. The presentation will focus on the objectives and core elements of a LaRS review and describe the techniques used in the review process. The session will also cover the review process prior to payment, including system edits.
